Programs

Travel Basketball is being offered for basketball players that are looking for a higher level of competition and an advanced playing situation. This program is designed to give the basketball players from El Paso-Gridley the opportunity to play against other quality teams from the surrounding area. This program is structured to be more competitive than the El Paso Parks & Recreation In House Basketball program. Travel Basketball will have anywhere from 20-25 games with the two tournaments.

If there are a large number of kids that register, there will be two teams created at each age division. Since this is a competitive travel program, the teams will be divided into an "A" and a "B" team. The "B" team will also participate in the Heller tournament and a few travel games if other communities are willing to schedule. At this level, playing time is NOT guaranteed or equal.

Games will mainly take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. They will not play games all of those days every week. Those are strictly days they could fall on.

Travel Basketball is for athletes that are in fifth grade. This program features two or three practices per week and one or two games per week. The deadline to register for Travel Basketball is on September 1st, 2024, at midnight. The fee is $135.00 per player.
